Town Council

There are 12 Town Councillors who give their time and effort voluntarily and receive no payment whatsoever.

The Town Clerk and administration officers are all salaried staff.

Its activities include management of the cemetery, the allotments and some of the Town's open spaces and play areas. The Council also administers two charitable trusts.
